Composer and pianist Morris Rahbar
is a graduate of the prestigious UCLA School of Music. His compositions have been performed regularly in many successful concerts,
where they have been praised for their exciting and emotive qualities. Morris has been recognized for his ability to compose
in many different styles and contrasting genres of music. Professional musicians have also commissioned him for concert works.
Clarinetist David Diaz commissioned a trio for flute, clarinet and piano for one of his concerts. Following the performance,
Diaz commented on the composer: “Rahbar’s philosophy is simple, he composes music that can touch and be accessible
to his audience. As a result, his compositions reflect a passionate and disciplined personality; ultimately, contributing
to the artistry of his music.”
In 2008, Morris composed,
orchestrated and produced the musical score for the film "Abracadabra" (Duration: 94 minutes) for Hannamation Studios.
"Abracadabra" won the award of Best Animated Film in the Reel Film Festival.
